Going By Formula

You know most big businesses has the view of common people mirroring the way us normal people look at roaches. One of the things they hate is how everything can go cold so quickly without knowing why things do so. Well, from my little rocking chair I will impart you the knowledge that we have learned only for thousands of years, so if you are looking at all the small factors trying to find it let me drop the 4-1-1 on you.

Something special about people is that when you lie to them, they don’t like you. I know! It is amazing to know that people will trust you as far as can be thrown, and it will never kill your business, but it will definitely shave some time off windows to make your money. A couple mistakes and another business goes out, could be yours, and another takes its place, could be mine. That would only be some of you dyed in the wool business types worst nightmares.

It is a bit of a theme as of late. I like watching massive botches because it gives me hope that I can do better when I have to do it for my own business or my own plans. Formulas help with a lot of things, I used to cook so I know a few of them, but after a certain point, you have to swing for the fences and see what happens. We can all see the differences that is one of my greatest abilities. Now, I could just rip them apart on this, and I will when it is really bad, but what about the regular moments of idiocy? Well, let’s just say I will be a devil’s advocate of sorts. So, if you like the sort of thing well, you should stay in store to this blog.

Why I Was Out

So I couldn’t post yesterday but I think I have enough for two posts today to right the scales.

The reason I couldn’t do any typing yesterday was that I had to go to the hospital. Picture some big dude in a black t shirt and jeans walking away with a slight swagger going to the restroom only for them to not come back. The big man who was swaying lightly now is suddenly dizzy enough that without the walls to walk he cannot go anywhere.

Take all that and suddenly everything is spinning all you know is your feet are under you in some fashion. After the retching, the loss of feeling in your arms, you keep trying to push yourself through the day. Day after day just trying to get something started and for it to be struck down again was something that really got to me. I am usually the person that can do something and just over the past few months the only news received was something is wrong and we just do not know what.

Right now typing this everything feels like its spinning around me and if I go any faster then a snail’s pace then I will find myself in a wall or on the ground. Now for a while I have been trying to get some insurance to get checked out properly. Without proper use of one’s arms, without the ability to balance properly, without the ability to even stay standing makes work a touch difficult. Actually I was swaying so much that even working at getting to my desk was an adventure, and work thought I should go the hospital. Really though it killed me because even typing this the spinning has not stopped, but when I sit down it does get a little better. Still cannot move as fast as I had wish, but that does not mean we will stop. We just have to rebuild again, and I have to keep my head up to do it.

It really sucks because that was not the case about a year ago. All this started with a case of cellulitis in my legs. Since then it has been more and more problems that just seemed to knock me back when I take a step forward. Aggravating in any case over the year it took am moment to decide on a picture for this one. My Biggest Problem In Blogging

I thought I should start off with the problems that I know I have doing this blog for so many years and getting some things out to be read. I feel it could be a touch more successful. I do a very small amount of advertising on it. Over time it has always been my biggest problem because I would want to put it in places where people could enjoy it, but on the flipside I don’t want to endlessly advertise it to the point that people are just sick of it. Doing it has to be done with a balance between the two because although I do not have a more focused subject blog there are things that I have learned that can be useful to others.

Youtube is the same way I want to advertise because there I games I find that are really fun, yet free to play. I do some other videos about subjects, but I find that having it be just on one subject as a blog or a channel makes things somewhat boring. There will always need to be some variety to make them really come through.

It is something I actually spent many hours poring over different strategies, and how business works on both sides to get a better understanding of how some may look at it. Putting it all in my head there was nothing that really felt right until while I was in bed rolling around from the pain of a popped tendon that it struck me.

Keeping all those things in mind made me lose the point. Something so astonishingly simple that looking at everything made me want to just slap my head. It will be something that kinda gave me some information that was sorely needed. Looking back, yes some mistakes were made and some things could have been done better, but I do some good stuff. Since I do good stuff between this blog and the channel I need to find ways where I can just take a step back and have more fun with it without it being a soul crushing defeat like so many projects of people tend to turn into.

Blessed Bath Salts – Business Update

So the business is very slowly beginning to roll. Not only do I write I try to push myself to do more everyday and after hearing some friends of mine not able to get higher quality products that can be safe if their kids get their hands on it I decided to take some time and make a bath salt that even if the little ones were to get their hands in it they need a cup of water more then a posion ward.

That’s not all because since then i had tested multiple times how to get the best item made. I have a touch of ocd and it only shows it sometimes. This last batch though is one though I can be proud of because it was just one of those things that you got done and felt it was right. The plan includes branching out to other products and making it more easily accessable instead of a thirty dollar container or a twenty dollar container for 5-6 oz its going to be roughly about 5 dollars for a portion good for one bath.

We use herbs often used in tea, extracts, fruits and alcohols before instilling this mix in to our salts. Right now we only sell per bathc because we dont want to be one company that cant fufill orders.

It is very satisfying to report though that there is already interest in spas and small salon groups to start carrying these items. When you are wanting good products at competitive prices then there should be people out there who wish to use it. Pictures will be coming soon but it is good to report on this project that their will be more incoming. With three formulas of the bath salts done their will be more products down the line

Why can’t I social media?

So obviously as part of the millennials I should be very proficient handling myself on all the little social sites. When in truth I have the skill on these sites equivalent to a stack of pancakes. I barely update status, tweeting is absurd to me and Instagram is still just a very fast measure of weight.

I know how to use it and apply it towards businesses and how to advertise. Studied that and really learned how to get the hooks in in any possibly imagined. I just do not feel like using all of it for this blog. Doing advertising for this blog like I would a hardcore business position would just make it feel hollow. Over time I kinda learned I do not need people on here ever day I just want people to grow and I want to keep myself honest on my projects. Maybe, I can even do an opinion piece or tell a story.

It has been slow as of late and as much as I say I would do more, and I do to keep myself honest. It seems that whenever I do that seems to invite all the gremlins to have a convention on my bed. Things go haywire, like the kind that makes you wonder if you got cursed or that you are due for some negative karma ever since taking that last cookie.

Whomever reading this can give me their opinion how they like their blogs advertised. Maybe, I will do more or maybe I will just put it on the back end of the list of things I should get around to. Thanks for your input and good luck.

Philosophical Musing and Diet Dr Update

So if those of you have noticed I tend to have a fair bit of faith in my own talents and abilities and other days I sound like a second string super villain. Taking some time away from becoming the understudy to the Riddler to wax philosophically I have found out three things.

A. Advertising independently for more then three hours straight is like unknowingly taking a clone of yourself on a date. Nothing to talk about trying to figure if the both are on the same league.

B. Trying to do so without feeling like a gigantic nob takes at least ten pages of whatever I am reading or writing to take your mind off of it for a moment. Which normally as with the group youtube channel would be much easier because we could just revolve when we needed breaks.

C. I spend way too much time thinking.

Going to the update portion of the this post I got some recipes and I am working on the organization a little bit more.

National novel writing month is coming up so if the time allows I will see if I can get something out for that.

Having fun doing game videos through what I can find on Newgrounds though, and a couple of them are already out. It is nice to see how some people have taken to learning on creating whole new worlds. I love trying new things even if it is a new world and that is one reason why I love games. Plus, some of the best stories come from games. To each their own personal cup of story enjoying tea.

Thoughts in the culinary world – Bobby Flay and James Beard

Now it seems that everyone worth their knives has something to say. The world of professional cooking is sometimes akin to the world of professional wrestling when larger then life personalities clash. Everyone has their own thing to say and everyone makes mistakes. When you do something you love so much, and someone makes you feel subpar some people are going to shoot off their mouths. From Top Chef to Paula Deen everyone seems to have their hand halfway in a boiling soup pot which is sad.

Bobby Flay is the most hated person in cooking. Which I can see as he seems very abrasive, almost disrespectful of other cultures and just sometimes acts like an ass. Seeing the food he makes and listening to him talk as well I really would not want to go to his restaurants. One thing no one can take away is he knows the business side enough that he has put himself in position on cooking shows for many years. Releasing books and through all the mistakes he has made one must give credit that he has used his business to back up where his cooking fails.

It is kinda sad he will be the most well known chef of the era because one of my cooking heroes is an Oregon born man by the name of James Beard. Cooking wise his recipes were never the absolute best, but across the board there was not a man who could boast the skill set he did. On top of that you would have to search to have someone say a bad word about him he always seemed to have a love of food that was only matched by the size of the man himself. The only thing you may find if you actually looked was how nearing the end of this life he decided to take endorsement deals to open more cooking schools. Which he even said made him feel like a “gastronomic whore”.

Sometimes we forget that the measure of a person is not just by popularity. A man can be the best without being the most well known. For the most part we as a culture bring much more infamy for all of our bad before allowing some to spotlight the good. Just some thoughts

Mega update mon

So grand prix has come and gone. It was less then 24 hours after our run had ended, and the plan was not even close to achieved. Our teamwork needed work as we played like three people instead of one team which cost us. We will be ok though because we got some cards that we can make in to decks if we need to go to standard.

Video wise we will be working on getting the new videos up on top of advertising across the nation. We want to let people know they can learn at our channel a good game of cards and watch us play a couple games they could love as well.

For my further education I have been studying business moves and law to see how I can better apply myself when I finally have the supplies to push in. I would think getting a fair amount of machines that made revenue over time at semi low risk would be a good start. Building from there I would like to get in to books and food service. Books because I simply like to write and I would think it would be much cheaper to do it all in house. Food service just to get the food I have made money on able to make more money for me, but that’s far down the road.

Writing and advertising will be coming soon and things will be getting to pop more so more on that to come.

Progress update 7/30

Alison learning was finished for now and know I have three diplomas. One in customer service sciences, and yes there is such a thing. Another in children’s studies going over how children of different ages react and learn and the methods of the past that has been shown to be somewhat reliable for that. The last is in probability so I can at least tell what my odds are when I try to do something. It may not mean anything to add to the resume, but the set up was easy to continue while being very informative.

Magic wise we are still having issues, but a lot more have been ironed out. Soon after that we will be advertising the revamp and getting all that stuff set up is taking a lot of time out of the night. It is going to be fun at grand prix starting in less then ten days.

Advertising wise the youtube channel will also be advertised with the e-book so I got a lot to learn about the next few weeks.

Doing some more writing to get more experience.

Shirt designs have been on the back burner.

One needs to get the most of opportunities.
One also needs more time in the day and more caffine.

Update

Hello everyone got plenty of stuff done recently.

Entered into my first major tourney in almost a decade and at the platinum level tcgplayer event held in Tigard I came out 35th which is not bad when they award to 32nd position. It was a sealed draft. Broken got a 36th ranking so we did well for coming back to high level tournaments.

We got some videos done and coming soon we will have more advanced subjects such as how to build decks to different events. Breakdowns of popular deck themes such as goblins, artifacts, elves, and even slivers will soon be put on the channel.

Right now I am learning about the litany of groups on facebook that may be interested in some of the things I am doing. Facebook is large enough that if you are writing something you can join some groups of like minded people that can help you. These groups are also full of people you can build relationships with.
