A word for all readers

So for the month of December I hope all of you have a good holiday. I am most likely going to still be spinning my wheels. Hey gotta improve so no problems with that. If you noticed this is not on my usual schedule of blog posts well I am actually going to try to do two a week. Because of how much progress on things are going with the recipes I want to get better content so I think pushing myself to twice a week may be something to try. Call it an experiment that we all are going to be a part of. Nothing too weird so no need to run the Dexter’s lab theme to level up your snark. As of my typing there are more then two hundred people reading this and the funny part is that the majority comes from people I have never met.

For those who know me then thank you for dealing with me when sometimes my little projects have bothered you. For those who don’t know me other then some guy shooting his mouth off on the internet trying to make something some odd seven and deuce luck turn in to something worth keeping. I will continue to have recipes on here, I like to cook so that will happen. I have not been doing as many updates on writing or other projects so what I am going to do is simply just try to do more. Two posts a week starting from this one. One as an update on some projects without having to decide on one or the other on the recipes. That does not mean a recipe will be every week mind you it just is a good chance. I found that if I keep things open I can keep to it a lot easier then saying it outright (is that the same for everyone or is it just me?)

So what is the experiment I mentioned before? Well, I want to see how I am doing as this blog was one of those things I just jumped in trying to do. So I want each person just to tell one other person about a post or a recipe from this blog. If you have something you want me to tell the people I talk to then let me know, and I will do my best to return the favor.

Happy holidays folks.

Final Fantasy VII : Update of Cerberus

Good god I love having technical issues. Just when I think things are going to go well for the projects I have started something happens and despite saving I get hit with the one two combo of less then stellar save frequency and corrupting files. It just makes me stay on guard for everything else.

A little too sarcastic? Sorry ’bout it.

So with everything going sour for the odd moment techwise here is what’s going on otherwise.

Nanowrimo has had me hit the wall over the past week although I have gotten to 20,000 words. I may be able to make it up but with personal things giving me some trouble and I’m not focusing like I should. Worst case scenario  though I will finish the story because it will be nice to have it done and get another book publishing started.

I had a fried and marinated tofu dish all set up on it but because of the tech issue I noted above the post I had saved just is gone and will be next week. Joy to the world. The holiday season is coming up and I will most likely use it to catch up on my sleep. Work supposedly starts on the twenty fifth and I am actually psyched to work there and while it is not what I wanted originally it is still something nice.

Ox Baker: A childhood hero

For those who do not know I am a pro wrestling fan one of many things. Back when I was younger I felt I was not doing enough good I had this feeling that I was the bad guy in a world populated by people who want to be heroes. I will do whatever to get some jobs done so it made perfect sense to me back then. Kind of a downer really back then until I heard of a guy named Ox Baker.

A guy who ran life like it was good to be bad and a resume that said he did what he wanted when he wanted. Nearly six and a half feet tall and over three hundred pounds he was a guy that had a wild eyed stare like getting in his way was signing your own trip to the hospital. I never got to see any of his work in person. He is notable for training people after he retired one of which being the Undertaker. I was about thirteen when I looked up a lot of his work in the territories including when he incited a riot. His finisher, the heart punch was the last thing felt in the ring before two people died. Neither actually did of course, but he took the heat and made everyone love to hate him. People paid money to see him get decked and he did not mind as long as he and the people were happy at the end of the show.

It may be weird for someone with a cooking background, but Ox Baker had self published a cookbook of his own among many other projects he finished including writing and recording songs and making coloring books. He wanted to do something then he did it. Loud and boistrous while wearing a black hat for those who watch westerns, but only being the true bad guy when he needed to be. It was kind of refreshing because he did those things for the reason of his wanting to. He also did some acting bit parts including one as the antagonist against Kurt Russell in Escape From New York. He died a while ago and I just want to say my piece. He was awesome.

He died on the 20th of October at 80 years of age after complications of all things a heart attack.

Also if anyone can find his cookbook and they want to get rid of it let me know because I would like to have a copy.

What is an unhipster

Hipsters are defined as a person who follows the latest trends and fashions, especially those regarded as being outside the cultural mainstream. At least by Google standards so with that in mind let me explain why this whole thing is called Unhipster in Portland.

In short I am not following fads. I barely know enough about fads to pick them apart I just focus from one thing to another and continue practicing something. Drawing to writing to learning to this to that to slantways and so on. Portland seemingly is gaining a reputation as the hipster capitol of the U.S. Which, in all honesty makes me want to drive my head through a desk at the speed of light. Their are great things here though and plenty of people just a little bit strange, eccentric, and altogether fun to have a drink with.

I just kinda do things and when I finish them I don’t know what to do when the goal is in my hands. Except get better and continue. My clothes usually revolve around my work outfit, my comfortable outfit, and the I need to do something special outfit. I don’t own a stitch of plaid although I own about as much black fabric as a hot topic that went out of business.

Unhipsters are just people that are what they are good, bad or meh. So join us and be yourselves. Besides how hard is it to join a group that is defined as an un-something.You just have to not be something in this case a fake, fad following, flagellating figure with few flickers of full blown original fantasy. Alliteration is fun by the way and is a writing device I like to use. Anyway if you are not one of those multiple f-word describing targets then welcome to the club.

You are an unhipster and you are one of us. Unless these convenient graphs describes you.

Link on the word graph by the way.

The legend of update: Bad pun’s mask

So what is going in life well that is a semi funny question.I am trying to figure out how to make a breakfast cupcake (not a muffin) So while that is being mulled over. I have gotten some recipes done that are fairly cheap to make, and not like the other ones are really not. I have done two ramen dishes if memory serves. Still we will be playing with tofu for another recipe in the future as well the secret to the quesadilla and how to do simply delicious fried rice. Now normally when I say it I also seem to bungle it by doing something else.

Luckily the pictures are already in the camera as well so even I can’t screw it up.

In things other then cooking I actually got some game videos and I’m finding playing with the program for the video editing at least somewhat cathartic. Recently got some videos on proxy, glitch lab, and chamber door so if you find yourself wanting to play those games you can find the links on the videos through the youtube link on the side.

Writing wise national novel writing month is coming up and I hope to get something done for that.

To Gil Caroya of the Huffington Post

So I read an article that kinda got to me you can read it for yourself here. I’m not going to make any bad puns so let’s just get to it.
I took a bit of insult to this article so I decided to let the Huffington Post know about it my response is below.
What do you think about this piece of literary work? (The article not my response.)
Hi, my name is Tj Anderson and I am 25 years old. According to your last article I am one of those idiotic millennials prone to know it all rants and is clueless about the ISIL threat. Well, as for idiotic everyone has their moments, and I am not different from others in that regard. About the know it all rants we all believed that we knew everything at some point. That just seems to be the wonder of human nature, and some people grow out of it while others live with it. So finally about being clueless I can say without shame that I am clueless about this subject. Thinking I wanted to get some insight I looked on to the Post website and saw your article. The sad thing was your article did not bring much about ISIL and instead talked about how a group of people is so “stupid”.

Which brings me to this email. In the pursuit of learning about a terrorist group I only found someone who is very intelligent with an ability to route his passion not only of the goodness of people, but of what things can be in to a thinly veiled vent of anger on a platform supposed to bring more information to people who don’t know. I actually thought maybe I don’t understand something maybe I’m just not getting something. I have taken a couple pans to the head in my years in kitchens, so I try to give people the benefit of the doubt on that. Trying to see things through your eyes I looked at articles and found you have a background in tech tried doing some research in to the award you earned in 2005. Didn’t find much on it I just signed that off that I was just looking in the wrong area.

What I did find though is you still had a great passion in the tech industry you still got some fire in your belly and you want to make some good things happen. You want to make the world a better place every day either through the acceleration of your own skills and abilities or through the bodies of work you contribute to society. That wanting to make the world better came through to me in two articles I read to help get a better view of things through your eyes. It was your last article on the Post in September and the first one in October. “Technology’s Gender Bias — A Subconscious Shot in the Foot?” and “Why Don’t People Care When It Doesn’t Affect Them?” both showed your willingness to fight for what you believe in. It is great you do that, but in the forms of fighting sometimes we forget who we fight, what we do it with, and how we achieve our goals. Fighting comes in various forms not all of them physically, but it just seems that you seem to have lost your way in your personal quest. Maybe I am wrong I am just going off what I think and I am making this email to communicate that.

You have abilities and your are passionate about your causes just do not lose sight or one day you may put something up that will cost you your platform or will cost you progress to your goals. If you want to talk because if I did misunderstand something then let me know. Through whatever format you are most comfortable with, info below. I may not know everything, but I am going to at least try to make the world better through my means, and I wish you success in your quests as well.

(End.)

Philosophical Musing and Diet Dr Update

So if those of you have noticed I tend to have a fair bit of faith in my own talents and abilities and other days I sound like a second string super villain. Taking some time away from becoming the understudy to the Riddler to wax philosophically I have found out three things.

A. Advertising independently for more then three hours straight is like unknowingly taking a clone of yourself on a date. Nothing to talk about trying to figure if the both are on the same league.

B. Trying to do so without feeling like a gigantic nob takes at least ten pages of whatever I am reading or writing to take your mind off of it for a moment. Which normally as with the group youtube channel would be much easier because we could just revolve when we needed breaks.

C. I spend way too much time thinking.

Going to the update portion of the this post I got some recipes and I am working on the organization a little bit more.

National novel writing month is coming up so if the time allows I will see if I can get something out for that.

Having fun doing game videos through what I can find on Newgrounds though, and a couple of them are already out. It is nice to see how some people have taken to learning on creating whole new worlds. I love trying new things even if it is a new world and that is one reason why I love games. Plus, some of the best stories come from games. To each their own personal cup of story enjoying tea.

Video wise there is another one up on the game called chamber door a nice little point and click adventure is worth a play if anything

Planet of gratuitous sarcasm down

So due to some decisions not in my own best interests, but respecting those of the group that not enough time can be put in to the youtube channel to do it and it will be stopped. none of them now have the faith in it that they had before. I find these videos rather fun so when I have moment I will make one and toss it up for all the gamers that may be one to stumble across it.

More then a dozen pages have been written and a couple more stories are beginning to make their way from thought to reality. The picture featured with this post has been a version of an old logo I wished to create as the emblem of a man’s work. The colors are the black and red of the old Portland Trailblazer logo. More coming this week.

Thoughts about teaching

So recently things have not been going on in the unhipster camp. People have been disappointing me in ways I really am hurt by. A thing I like to go by is that when someone asks me for help that I will do just that until they either raise there stock as the saying go. I love seeing people succeed, and I think that people do not know what they can do until they are forced to do it sometimes.

Following the disappointments from grand prix people who know me also know that I push people to be the best in everything they wish to strive for. So when I push and learn new things to further my own abilities it takes a lot of energy to even match me. Not to toot my own horn it is just when I push to learn sometimes eighteen hours some days between games, audio work, drawing, writing, advertising, marketing, finding a better job, working on my own economic situation.

People will come to be either your greatest asset or your greatest disappointment. The only disappointment by number is to have someone simply to leave before their abilities reach fruition. It has happened in the kitchen, in games and really every day it happens more then it should. A part of the issue is that people simply do not have the drive to really make their mark. From the other side of the coin I think a big issue is also the point of education or to work with someone to help them.

No matter what trade or what hobby you participate in it takes a special type of person to give the knowledge that they have without a whole lot of expectations in return. One day once a lot more of my financials are handled I really wish to be in a position to take a person and really take the time to train them imparting what I would have learned by then. Some people will not give the experience because many people believe they can still make money on it. True to some degree, but when some people will ask me to teach them to the best of my ability in something I will go to my limits for that person if they show they are receptive to it.

If someone was to beat me using a technique I had taught them then I had would then have to raise my game and as a response I would have to grow. I look at that as a form of payback to teach and have someone best you then you need to get better. Having someone you taught to give you that opportunity to better yourself is a form of pride for me. I wish that when I become more then what I am here that it can happen to propel someone to the next level.

Just my thoughts,
T.J
