Mega update mon

So grand prix has come and gone. It was less then 24 hours after our run had ended, and the plan was not even close to achieved. Our teamwork needed work as we played like three people instead of one team which cost us. We will be ok though because we got some cards that we can make in to decks if we need to go to standard.

Video wise we will be working on getting the new videos up on top of advertising across the nation. We want to let people know they can learn at our channel a good game of cards and watch us play a couple games they could love as well.

For my further education I have been studying business moves and law to see how I can better apply myself when I finally have the supplies to push in. I would think getting a fair amount of machines that made revenue over time at semi low risk would be a good start. Building from there I would like to get in to books and food service. Books because I simply like to write and I would think it would be much cheaper to do it all in house. Food service just to get the food I have made money on able to make more money for me, but that’s far down the road.

Writing and advertising will be coming soon and things will be getting to pop more so more on that to come.

Progress update 7/30

Alison learning was finished for now and know I have three diplomas. One in customer service sciences, and yes there is such a thing. Another in children’s studies going over how children of different ages react and learn and the methods of the past that has been shown to be somewhat reliable for that. The last is in probability so I can at least tell what my odds are when I try to do something. It may not mean anything to add to the resume, but the set up was easy to continue while being very informative.

Magic wise we are still having issues, but a lot more have been ironed out. Soon after that we will be advertising the revamp and getting all that stuff set up is taking a lot of time out of the night. It is going to be fun at grand prix starting in less then ten days.

Advertising wise the youtube channel will also be advertised with the e-book so I got a lot to learn about the next few weeks.

Doing some more writing to get more experience.

Shirt designs have been on the back burner.

One needs to get the most of opportunities.
One also needs more time in the day and more caffine.

Blackberries and classes

I am taking some classes on a place called ALISON.com keeping everything else going is rough, but good for the mind. Right now working on a diploma in children’s studies.

Earlier today I had a bit of a family time picking blackberries with my mother. A couple places we know have berry bushes that are not sprayed down with chemicals. All natural, all organic and all free blackberries. Minus the pain of pulling some thorns out of various pieces of skin. Nothing worse then a splinter pain wise. With my new harvest freezing before I find something to do with them, and most likely the concoction will be on here.

Training continues on the program although nothing else has been finished and soon the grand prix will be coming to Portland. Before that though is the pro tour event just a couple days beforehand and if all goes well the group of us here should have someone going to do some recon on possible opponents.

Dukey the three legged dog – Response

So I got home from my job where I was called more swear words then a South Park episode to get on my computer after warming up the remnants of a cold pizza. All in all my normal mood ready to eke out a little more progress in this world.

Checking my facebook I went down to a page about a three legged black lab called Dukey.

I have always been a dog person and I love reading about many people and the fun times they have doing something so I decided to click. It told on how this was from the blog at http://www.robynarouty.com now down because this actually got the internet, the group of people ready to watch someone trip down a set of stairs laughing all the while. To show everyone has a heart.

The first six words came up .”I died today. By Duke Roberts”

It was told through a set of pictures with sentence descriptions going over a beloved pet’s last day. I got half way through when I reached for the kleenexes. I knew ow it felt to lose a pet and not be able to save them. I got the rest of the way down and I actually had to stop all my work I was doing while reading and just take a moment and think.

At least he went well. Not many in life get that comfort, but at least one dog did.

The bad with the good

As much as I wish I could say that life was perfect this week. It would be not just a bold faced lie, but underlined to boot. So learning how to edit videos with a new program with problem after problem coming up in my personal life. Trusting people when I should be able to only to learn that sometimes life is not how you think of it .

Sometimes you need the bad in life to train you. You need the hardest things life can give you mentally and physically to test your mettle. My life has never been the hardest their are billions who have lived much worse then I have. There are billions who have lived much better.

So when things are not working one cannot languish in the what’s and the why’s for it is too easy to do. Due to my editor not wanting to move at a quicker pace I will be learning the program.

Grand prix is coming and I hope you all reading this find the ability to stand through your hard times. I am off to burn the midnight oil.

Update

Hello everyone got plenty of stuff done recently.

Entered into my first major tourney in almost a decade and at the platinum level tcgplayer event held in Tigard I came out 35th which is not bad when they award to 32nd position. It was a sealed draft. Broken got a 36th ranking so we did well for coming back to high level tournaments.

We got some videos done and coming soon we will have more advanced subjects such as how to build decks to different events. Breakdowns of popular deck themes such as goblins, artifacts, elves, and even slivers will soon be put on the channel.

Right now I am learning about the litany of groups on facebook that may be interested in some of the things I am doing. Facebook is large enough that if you are writing something you can join some groups of like minded people that can help you. These groups are also full of people you can build relationships with.

Draft training

So I apologize for the blank post. I had a full post done and set after publishing it had turned out blank. The past week i have been training for a tournament on the 21st (tcgplayer.com) sponsored the event and I hope I do well.

Stock has been made and right now just cleaning up the pictures for it. Next will be chopped clams on toast from the old new york times cookbook.

For the youtube channel we are working on some deals where card shops will be proactively advertising us as a resource and I could not be more thrilled. Plenty of things or beginning to roll and I hope you people are enjoying at least that much success in your plans

Advertising ideas

Advertising seems to be the biggest bane of people when they are working on getting something made to the people. Which is understandable because now you have to get people to care while still being honest to your morals and beliefs. Not an easy balance to keep so here are some things you can look at.

Keep your objective in mind when advertising. If you have a game channel ( Planet of gratuitous sarcasm) for example you want to target people that will enjoy the product. Getting gamers that will give a couple moments to watch the channel is difficult.Image

Keeping your objective in mind when finding avenues to advertise on. Over the past seven days finding avenues for the book on kindle has been difficult, but the good news when you work on something is you can keep trying it until you get things right. My brain hurts

 

For the parents out in the world here is a little message from me to you so you can better prepare your child when they go out in the real world. To make it easier I have made a list all of these items I have been asked about and had to teach others of my generation and younger ( So anyone born after 89 and ages in parentheses will be at the time the lesson had to be given).

1. How to use a broom ( He was 19)

2. How to balance a budget ( He was 24)

3. How to keep to a project deadline (They were 23 and 20)

4. How to make instant ramen (She was 32)

My brain hurts. I am going to get some more work on the advertising done. I hope you can enjoy your week as well.

Finally published, kinda

So I have been published for the kindle on amazon. 100 ingredients: Home Edition will be available for 4.99. Although I had to go through self publishing options it does feel good to know I can put whole books up now and other people can read them. Until I hold the book though I still think it is like diet publishing. However I can get a good grasp of advertising and other associated angles before moving on.

Diet publishing aside because of my love literary hardware I did it. I hope you enjoy it. The fanfiction is up after a couple edits. They are not as long as I wanted them to be  Still like them though so they can stay. It is still amazing that I got something published so to celebrate i am going to relax and blow up some ships in Black Flag: Assassins Creed
