Relaxing when Onions get Expensive

I got to put my hair down, so to speak, and go see a concert, a concert whose tickets I had been holding since before the pandemic. Joy. The show still had a VIP meetup but did not tell me about it because I didn’t buy it in July or September. I held on to my tickets from 2020.

Thanks, Moda Center; nothing makes me feel like I know what I am doing, like getting your people on phone calls and getting “I don’t know for 30 minutes” and no effort to help out. Makes me feel like a real wunderkind when the guy with half a properly working nervous system can do better.

Do I sound angry? Really I am not. Lindsay Stirling had a great concert, and I was close enough that the bass gave me a free back massage through my ribcage for missing the VIP meetup earlier.

Roommate couldn’t get her paperwork, so I invited a past co-worker who I knew liked it. All the while, I couldn’t shake the idea that I should be trying to look at different formulas for flavor profiles or work on my project and being in a group of people like that.

Well, to say out of place would be an understatement.

Moda center needs better food, though. Seating-wise, the front area near the stage was sold out. However, it was not a complete sell-out which is sad; Lindsay Stirling is a bright, bubbly person that is almost so saccharine sweet that every jaded one will feel their own hearts growing a size by the end of the show. It shows honestly, though, and I would suggest it if you like her music.

Doing other things when I could be working on my projects makes me fidgety, it makes my breath hitch a little more, and I get a little more skittish when I need to stand still.

Started building the price book and a couple new formulas I want to try that I think will be proper hits. One stumbling block has been my roommate, who was borrowing my digital scale, has lost it, so I will need to replace it to get more accurate numbers on use and volume. Overall though, it was a good experience. It made me think of more than just what but the why with some exciting introspection.

Costs are still going up, but luckily I can make things in a way that doesn’t kill the price, I feel. I still need to math it out to find out what my cost is and how to get the best profit from it.

Always some to do, but progress can be found even in lighter weeks. Hope things are going well for you.

Stay Strong.

Time To Switch It Up

I wanted Shattered Reflection to reach 65,000 word wise. It would be on the lower end of things and I can put in enough stories that a good number of people would find interesting. I had pushed hard to make it to 50,000 enough for about 77 pages which is pretty hard to do considering everything, but that was okay. Doing it had done a lot to look back learning little bits about myself.

Fighting under street lights, being shot at multiple times, betrayals and few true good friends. Everything that had been powered through in my life made a lot of interesting stories doing things that some people may not have had experience doing. I was a backyard wrestler, a problem solver, a doodler, cook, and an all around smart ass. Call it the passing of genetic talent when it comes to that last one because if there was anything my family had in the vein of born talent. Back to the point at hand though all the stuff to this point made me realize somethings.

Normally, I do not want to be really cocky for the most part, or I will turn in to a persona that is cocky to comedic effect. Looking back at everything in the format of a book made me really gain some perspective on some things. For all the work I did burn myself out on it so taking a moment away will do some good while I work on some other writing projects.

There is a short story I have been meaning to type up just on the thought of prom experiences. I never had any great ones, but I also am a fan of the sweet romances. Think like Kakashi from Naruto except even more saccharine romance being read.

Also, I have something going on where I may get a camera for the two food books that need them. Finally getting that portion done will make me happy, as it has been on the docket for quite a while. Getting those projects closer to completion would make me a happy person.

Drinking time

After a long day working, writing, working on business plans and just overall tiring myself out I like to have an adult beverage. My roommate tends to join me in such ventures and I thought I should share what we have going in the cups when we try to change the world from our little apartment.

Kraken’s Revenge:

2 shots Kraken rum, 1 shot Triple Sec, 1 scoop vanilla bean ice cream, top with the root bear of your choice.

Comrade Kraken:

2 shots Kraken, 1 shot Triple Sec, a half cup of root beer before topping off with heavy cream.

Redneck Margarita

2 shots Patron Orange, half a capful of cream de menthe, a cup of Mountain Dew and top off with ginger ale .

It should alwys be said to drink responsibly. It is never fun when you get hung over. I have more coming this week but let’s get some fun going before we get to the meat of the matter for the week.I just thought that as goofy as it is to try these out if you have the time.
