The city of Portland seems to read my blog because a few weeks ago I made a post that I wouldn’t write on it unless it was just something abyssal. A new high in low. It seems that it looked at my blog post, handed me a half open bottle of some hipster brew and asked me to hold it because it seems every day since then it decided to just keep digging for the grail in stupidity and I wonder here if they had focused such efforts into something good the progress that would be made.
Never ask how bad dumb a group of politicians can be. I should have known.
So, rapid fire because Portland leadership is a font of idiocy so deep that we could only approximate the bottom. One. Jo Ann Hardesty One could lead a class on morals by taking what she had done in her job as commissioner and simply going, don’t do that. Now, that would be rude, she would have had to do one thing of good. Right?
Well, after running up debt and then being sued for it and then the hit and run debacle and then the uber debacle and then being an idiot in the pandemic, and the being an idiot during the homeless issue and backing the politics that drove business in the ground, and then not pushing for punishing the D.A for not charging those who had politics similar. I mean all of these are absolutely shameful. Calling a political opponent Republican when he is not just because he has a different opinion. Now, some may see that statement and think I support Rene. I have not seen his work and right now there has to be a major amount of work done for me not to count him as an abject failure just because he wanted the position. It is the risk that comes from people failing at it for long periods and really if one could fire the commissioners since Hales then many would.
The mayor before Wheeler I used to call him as interesting as wallpaper paste, now I have to say he had to be smarter then any person in politics. That or, he was one of the luckiest because after that things went down at the speed of gravity. Where things hoped to have change is after a cycle with the main morons and people went, there is no better candidate, no one wants to run and now we are happy with this. Well, happy is not the word I would use but people have shown they are willing to look away as long as things still stay as normal.
Wheeler, the mayor, went out to protest with people he thought would be the base of the city only to find out that he was wrong. Went on pushing the ideology and backed by the movements of the D.A crime spiraled out of control, police budgets cut, and then the spiral grew wider. There will be a time where Portland has to begin to grow but the ideology of the past decade needs to be discarded for the toxic process that it has been. Not because the political party is toxic, it isn’t but because what has taken Portland has been thought to be for some moral superiority and brilliant action when morally its often disgusting under the surface and tactically its as useful as a paper seat belt.
This is not going to Brown and what she did because she caused damages as well a lot of them, but everyone thought they could stand together against Trump instead of actually working on bettering their areas. If it had been done it would be the greatest flaunting against their foes because what the president had wished when those described above hated him, could look to their city and say. We are doing it and we got it. That would be too hard they found out and did the political thing of try to get people to look away except there was no place to look without their failings on full display. It is now something where other cities and states look at, and go ‘don’t be like that’.
I wish there was some good news, but there isn’t and won’t be for a while, but everything can change and Portland will too, it just may take some time.
Funny thing about life. There are things where people will have disagreements, like my last post. I disagreed with Adam of Adam ruins everything, but there was respect there. Only some will agree on something, and sometimes it is better when we don’t on subjects that take some depth to really get to issues. People will learn in different ways. I may change, and others may change, but the passion for doing better drives us all on that one.
Then we have this.
For those who do not know, I am disabled. I harp on the subject a bit. First, I do not know about the issues or who is saying them all that is laid before me is how people react. Seeing that there was never a greater need to imbibe the volume of the Willamette River in bourbon than watching people specifically after the debate.
Listen, politics is the next great blood sport. People will look to their political side like they used to during the Yankees-Red Sox feud or the Cowboys- 49’ers feuds if you are familiar with Baseball or American Football. An international one would be Manchester United and Liverpool for those familiar with Euro Football or Soccer. Each of those feuds brings something where the fans are not only emotionally invested but also combative of the opposing side. In some cases can be nothing more than adding fuel to the competition, but here is the problem.
Politics is not a competition. It isn’t a game with winners and losers, and the fact that it is being looked at in that way shows some of the reasons we are having some problems. For example, among my friends from high school, there is a marine (conservative) Mormon (more conservative), Jehova’s witness (semi-conservative), and a farmer (conservative). If you asked them, they would say I am a liberal, not as an insult, I look at things differently, but we can always discuss what is on our minds and afterward find a way to come to some ground we can all agree on in majority, where some of the details we may not like. Still, the majority of the action is approved.
So, this made watching the comments from others and the article created by the New York Times (above) felt like a migraine powered by a thousand symbol-clapping monkeys. Looking back to see what had been said about both sides makes the monkeys get a stereo system. It makes it much louder because this is especially going on as of late. People are using identity as a defense, some defending Fetterman, who had just come out of a stroke, a major medical event, to a debate.
Now, this is one of two ways, either one, Fetterman had the passion for trying and continuing but did not have the way to make a showing of skills to make up for the loss of skills in the stroke, which could very well be temporary. His passion made a choice in this scenario where discretion would have been the better form of valor. He did not do well in the debate, but he made the decision thinking he could show what his strengths were.
The second way is his team backed him into it, thinking they could together show the strengths that maybe he could not on his own and take care of the public relations issues, not knowing what may come back. Now, in this case, one can look to the media giving the sudden disability tag and trying to make it an identity case when legitimate points are brought up.
Looking at the kind of pieces written about from both sides, it is clear that disability is being used as a defense for a bad situation, so let me say this to groups like the New York Times or anyone else who think taking it suddenly when things go bad. The identitarian political clubbing that causes people to reach for disabled, black, jew, and more like they were weapons in an arena is sickening and cheapens the experiences and problems we have gone through. It degrades the experiences the people have had and sows discord for those when people honestly want to use what experiences they have accrued to the service of the group, whether in politics or in specific teams. So, for those who think this is okay, where one can be black or disabled to get a couple extra points in something because you feel a lead slipping away. Let me say this.
Screw You.
Screw your paper, screw your reporting, screw this identitarian clubbing, screw the political bloodsport, screw it all with a drill deep enough that it can be driven into the ground and out of sight like some moral version of the elephant’s foot in Chernobyl, where people only remember it knowing what disaster we caused and look to it to make sure we never do it again. The only reason the disabled tag was taken by those is there was a hope it would be used to gain favor and defenders in the light of a bad showing. Not taking into account the people who can’t get disability payments because they are trying to still make something out of themselves, not those who died with the last knowledge they had that the supposed nets for them did not want to pay out. Not taking into account that being disabled seems to be dictated by political leaning as well nowadays. Taking a title of a group of people with enough problems, and no one in politics seems to want to give them answers or at least a hand, makes me want to ask exactly who thought it was a great idea.
Screw you for those who died with nothing, only for a case to be paid to their next of kin. Screw you for those who work themselves, knowing doing so at paces they need to without help will drop the axe on their finances. This is me angry about it because this has no reason. It was the move of someone trying to paint a picture that had no right existing.
Not to Fetterman or his team or both. If they were in agreement, they made a decision, but it didn’t work. Come back stronger and the best of health to Mr. Fetterman. No idea what your politics are about or even if I agree with a single point. We get stronger when we defend our points and grow in the weaknesses they present.
Money is a strange thing to me. It is a tool, something to which to buy time, energy, or skill. The problem is that many people will often try to get tools and never use them. At all. Getting money for the sake of having it makes no sense.
Let us replace one tool for another, one variable for another, and run it through a similar. Would you go and collect as many hammers as possible and fill a room with them? There is a lot of hatred for millionaires and billionaires, but as they can amass so well, they can also lose, which is what people like Adam forget.
I disagree with Adam, but just as his title suggests, his views
“Why There’s No Such Thing as a Good Billionaire.”
While trendy, it is, however, very much incorrect. Not even opinion related. It is just wrong. As he goes on blustering about the causes that could have been done better or even the best possible way, there are problems in his arguments from the get-go.
One. Nothing is ever perfect. You may not like them and think they are rampaging idiots buoyed by money and a family. Still, we live in a world where we apply emotion to logic and expect logic to bow, only when it does not for us to be shocked. Even I do it, so nothing against him here. His example with Patagonia is how the value went to a charity run by the family minutes after making a claim. He could have done so and let the family do so if the most good was going to be achieved. Once I thought it was sarcasm when he started on, but as it continued, no, he actually seemed to mean it.
Two. This is another thing Adam has little standing on. What is good? If you said, “it depends,” or “It depends on what each person sees as good, ” or some variation, you are correct. Adam has a set of things that are the most important to him, and I have a set of my own. When something is done, and one can claim it is genuinely inherently evil, one needs evidence. I think Adam is a buffoon buoyed by an echo chamber of braying donkeys but is he evil? No. Passionate, yes. Motivated, yes, correct. No.
Marketing, networking, and PR are tools that those who have wielded them well will tell you the value, and with those funds, when you have an instrument you know and use well, what do you often do. Artists go from Crayola to Prismacolor, mechanics get better tools, and surgeons and data nuts get better energy drinks. When you know something, and you use it well, you upgrade the physical items and, often after that, learn the more advanced technique. If you do not like how someone uses their tools, there really is not much you can do save to ensure they cannot get it. It’s my blog. Sometimes I go on tangents.
Adam’s kvetching notwithstanding, it goes to show something, we are a lot angrier as a people now when someone else has a hammer and goes to do their thing. We get so mad that someone has the tool we do not, so I ask you, if you don’t like the tool, why not change the value of the tasks they try to assist. If what they do is not so important, then the value will decrease. If you do not like how they handle their hammers, make sure they can do less with them. Make things so they cannot use them. Every tool, whether money or mallets, can be made less effective, and in doing so, the best worth will push those to at least use it or watch it become nothing.
Going through economic classes in micro and macro and accounting so far makes me wonder what people need, personally, for what will be required. I have to start getting a big of hammers together.
You know, it makes you wonder if they think everything is such a problem rooted in white supremacy why they should leave. But, let’s be honest, these teachers have excelled since allowing BIPOC students and others do not need to pass requirements because requirements are more challenging for them, and they can’t handle them.
No, this is not a joke. They actually said that. Time for some receipts. You see, a lot of results are only based on information released every two years, and the last set was 2019, and 2021 has not been released yet. I would wonder why but I can guess the term harrowing shit show does not even begin to describe it. So here is what we know before they try hiding the news that all of this has gone very wrong.
First, this will be based in my home state of Oregon. However, sources will have things so you can look to your heart’s content in your home.
You may have heard all these things about the educators in our state, and you have to think that people are doing so good here that we are just wrapping up details. That we have the rest of the world of education on lock in the state. We may act like it, but we could be no further from that. On top of a racist governor, not one who says anything is racist but an actual one when she claimed through her office that requirements are too hard and colored students cannot handle it. I have gone one about the education in the state with varying levels of patience. So pardon me if the people in this state crow like they have won the game only to act like a pigeon shitting on the chessboard.
Teachers are getting paid more in the state. The average is sixty thousand dollars. It is now more than the average in the state. A lot of them, I am sure, use some of that money and put that towards the class, they should not need to, especially with the budgets of money going to these schools, but there is something else that is going on as well. This will piss off many people, but at some point, the teachers as a whole, their work needs to be looked at, and we have to say, is this what we want for our next generations?
Oregon is against a lot of private schools. They make it very difficult to work here, and I wonder why considering their test scores. We have, as a state, tried to make it more inclusive but less useful. Well, when people are just sitting at a desk for twelve years and cannot make themselves breakfast or cannot balance a checkbook and I see they have a diploma, the blame goes to the schools. Parents should be teaching them something, but they should be able to work within the state system and be comfortable that they are at minimum being taught enough that they can be the best version of themselves. Some may argue with it, saying that it is too high a target. That may be true, except they aren’t even getting the majority of students to hit grade standards. About a quarter can do it, which is taken from the state’s report card. Science-wise, it looks like maybe a third can do it, and reading and comprehension are about as laughable as it gets.
We are in the unfortunate position that people should be looking at the school districts. We wonder if maybe they do not have the best intentions because, as we can see from the results, they do not have the best results for their effort. There is a lot that could be done, but when the results have been so low for so long, and mind you, this is with online schooling capabilities, then we need to wonder.
Is this system working? If not, why is so much money being put towards it when clearly it is not doing the job? The value that money is getting in the hands of the education system is losing value through their actions.
Now, does this mean there are good teachers in the state? Absolutely, I have had a few. The problem is I have also had some nasty ones. I will not think the good ones would be happy knowing that all the time, effort, and energy they put into their craft is being pissed one by someone who can barely read to a standard themselves and has to teach others to do it. Also, that little quip that is the best-case scenario because, let us say, some of these bad teachers who claim everything is racist and claim everything is a microaggression, and it hurts their feelings. When the best case is misunderstanding how things work by people in that position needs to be put in question because it is not good enough by many of the worst parts of it.
I say all of this because it seems we are not done with this year, and I hope things do get better for the sake of our future. I want the state to be the best in education. I want people to come to Oregon so they can say they went through our school system because of the intellectual rigors and challenges we provide. I want people, whether poor, rich, black, white, Asian, or Indian, to come to the state and say…
“If I can make it through the school system here I will be ready to go for anything life can throw at me.”
Unfortunately, this is not being done. In fact, people are leaving with fewer skills than ever as the world competes on higher stages. It seems students through the school systems, which means that we will at some point either take the initiative and fix it or we will have to do it when it breaks completely. Considering how low these test scores are, I wonder when that will be the case.
"I wanna know why we're randomly beating up people…I wanna know why random cars are being f—king attacked."
The violence by #Antifa in Portland on the night of July 4th was so extreme that Portland #BLM activist Danielle James expressed her disgust: pic.twitter.com/94QazkVgup
Visual aids today. Now, I will answer this as simply as I can. Danielle James, I hope this helps.
Why is Portland Antifa rioting about and why?
You started it. You lit the fire. I have written post after post about the good of what BLM could be and differing opinions and tried to figure this way and that and worked to get people to see it my way and I have post after post after post after post so this time I will be very clear. I had hope not because I am black but I saw the concept as something that could be good for all people to bring more culture and more community in and all it did was burn it to the ground, crack the windows and do nothing to help the city.
The subject of race is a poisoned well, the statement of differences is getting there and BLM worked with Antifa because it was all to do with their plan. Look at the city and tell me one thing, one single thing that got better because of you all. Violence has gone up, police response down, no one wants to open a business and everyone is making tracks out turning the city I loved and still do and watch turn to waste by people who have shouted about literally everything to the point where it is all white noise.
To those who say they didn’t do anything ask yourselves if you can find a single thing positive in my city because right now more people have died, and been shot less police want to help and money is getting stretched because we have a leader of the country with the capabilities of a baked potato and one side is trying to defend him because he is on their team. Take all of this ‘my team versus theirs’ horse shit, cram it up your ass, and go make sure you light it on fire first. Both sides of the major political parties and many of the minor ones have good points to be made if they can sit and talk, but no one wants to do that because that means your team is not strong and your team has to be strong right?
I am flat out of patience. I am not the only one. Every time those riots occur now BLM has been with it for so long they are signed to it as well. The only thing this has done is make your points that much smaller because no one wants to listen to those destroying their livelihood, and that does not take a bachelors in economics to find out. I used to have hope for the concept, but that has been long lost, and the fact that people are just now beginning to see what I said may happen in 2015 and 16 makes me sick to my stomach. So who is at fault for Portland failing. You, BLM and Antifa and all the little groups that back them but aren’t the same because different names, you should all laugh it up because you made the city you tried to supposedly champion into a joke and unfortunately the punchline stinks.
Here is some blasts from the past in all my crappy editing to prove it.
‘Nothing gets to me than the idiocy of a large group of very dimwitted people. Seriously, I understand learning disabilities I was told to have a couple, but I am shocked at the sheer duncery of a group of people who have told me to check my privilege.
So I did. These people who do not like ideas or opinions or even conversation that takes a half watt of brainpower to understand make me go back to being a problem solver, because by god the market needs one again. I once had a nice conversation with someone from the BLM group and while I do not agree with the group 100% there are things that could be good if they focused more on them. Back to the point I had a talk with someone who had a nice conversation as we went over our points to and fro in a respectful matter about things the group would have to do to become more of a mainstay and less of an extremist group. -2017
‘White privilege, does it exist ? Yes.
Black privilege, does it exist? Yes.
Male privilege? Yes.
Female privilege? Yes.
Every group of people has a set of strengths and weaknesses; privileges and problems and that’s just going to happen until people on the whole get to be a lot nicer to each other.
Every subsection of people has sets of advantages and disadvantages that over the grand scheme I would say is closer to even then most people would hate to think. Should everyone be based and judged on person by person basis. In a perfect world then yes, but I do not know when I woke up and it was perfect. The emotion is a good start though because at least that shows investment of people to try and change things. Now, if it could be focused properly most of the problems in this country could be finished in just under a week.’ 2015
‘Blm, Antifa and the Proud Boys are groups with exactly that, both sides have actual problems and both have insults flung at them from the other just for the sake of emotional prizes and it just does not work.
Be mad, sure, think the world hates you? Most times it just doesn’t care, but if you can focus it on positives then make it work. For that to be achieved it is something that needs to work for all sides. Of the conflict. Focus your anger at the trappings of the cycle rather then those who execute and you will find your capabilities much more warmly received.’ 2020
All of these posts go back more then five years when I thought this would be a problem but if we could just talk we could avoid it.
‘There is a need that only the police can handle. We have cut back police response in Portland and we are at the lowest sized force in 23 years. Considering how gun violence has gone up and continues to go up it means we have some major problems that need to be worked out and the police are going to have to help with that because currently our Mayor is using private security and that as damning of his work as all the city commissioners, and it should because has previously noted they have failed.
How do we fix it though is the question and to do so would take a multi faceted plan to answer questions where people have an issue. First, it is to help the officers, in Portland it takes 2 years to be a full officer, and in it I would add also some study in law. I would try to restructure the training so we aren’t losing so much as upgrading in different areas and I feel a little bit of time learning the law will give them a little confidence to further add some capabilities explaining how things are in the laws they defend.
Another thing is that we need to take a look at what counts as the over bearing hard left trying not to hurt anybody’s feelings instead of solving problems style of politics needs to end. It is not working and after close to six years for Mayor Ted Wheeler and the four for Commissioner Hardesty. There is very little to show for the hundreds of thousands of dollars their paychecks have given.
Kowtowing to political groups for clout was a disgusting move as it painted the city in a corner and one it will take years to get of. Some who sympathize or claim they are a different group then antifa despite wearing the same colors, using the same tactics, and fighting the supposed same enemies is a lark.’ 2021
‘Black lives do not matter.
Black lives do not matter because one group of people cannot have their lives try to matter more then anyone else’s. To have people chanting it, making it a hashtag, blowing up social media with it makes me a little depressed for the sake of our culture. Personally I can’t care less about what skin tone someone has on whatever particular day, because it is not something that really is important. Their culture is important, their background, context, political views, loves, hates, targets of affection and disdain are all important while skin tone simply is not. Unless you are trying to dress up to the best of your own aesthetic creating ability and aesthetic calculation aside color does not make something matter any more or less in my eyes, and for the eyes of many others.
Now, before someone goes down some fairly used set of responses pertaining to their own tragedy let me tell you something about myself, just so you understand who I am. I have tragedy befall me as so many others have had, and some would say even more so. I have had to cry myself asleep in junior high while someone close to me was raped and murdered. I have had to stop friends from murdering their entire family, bled buckets for people who thought that no one would defend them, cried for all the times the pain was too much, when one parent went to jail and once while the other was on the floor turning blue due to the effects of a stroke. I have seen people I have had so much hope for fall to the bottom, and I even tried to take my own life once to a painkiller cocktail that no one would take on accident and couldn’t sink under the rim of a large martini glass. I have seen so much idiocy in this world that it makes my skin crawl and my head ache. Every day because of all the fights I got in just to keep my sanity had some pain in it. Some days waking up is so much a challenge that I wish for some long reprieve.
There was no group for them or hashtag for us nor was their a group saying how they were a group whose lives mattered while seemingly forgetting the rest because creating such a thing would be disrespectful. The latina girl who knew I did my best as her friend, the black friend who was ostracized because he just liked acting like a hip hop styled gangster, the marine who came from the kid that tried bullying me in my youth, the christian who just wanted to feel respected by his parents. Their lives were not encapsulated in some news bit story or made light by a sixteen letter slogan. Hearing what kind of lives matter is such a foreign concept to me because it is so simple. It is like looking up and seeing the answer boldly written on the wall in marker. so simple that the questioning of it makes me wonder if we are becoming some side step on Mr. Darwin’s theory. We all have had to deal with horrible things, and some more then others. If you want me to think that those raped and murdered are not worth it, that those dying of hunger are not worth it, or even those who worked so hard to make the world better and died horribly are not worth it, but your little group of people does then please be prepared to either punch me or shut the hell up because you could not be any further from the point if you tried.
Black lives do not matter nor do white, nor yellow or red, blue or green or any shade on our spectrum.
We all matter because we all are the same when we start as a blank slate. We create the definitions of our world, and we grow within them. So how about we drop what we can say about who matters and who doesn’t, and start showing it through who you are. Make the world a canvas for all of the actions colored by who we are completely, and not what we just so happen to be on that day. A world colored so vivaciously that fantasy could become reality. That would be the world we all would be happy of.
2015
‘Now, though I must say I am more than a little hurt because what started off as a branded “resistance” brought the wrong people to the dance. The crown is tarnished, and the jewel that once held some magic may have grown duller. That does not mean that efforts should stop, though. One does not get by moping about, and even though it has wavered, I will still make my home a better place, and then move outwards because that is the plan, the goal , and the dream. It does not matter now, who won or who lost. We must work with what we got and sometimes it takes a group of misfits to make something greater than the sum of the parts. ‘ 2016 About the Portland resistance.
Danielle Davis, you, Antifa, BLM and all your little same but not quite groups, did it. Take a bow, you did were the main force behind Portland turning into a shit hole, now when the city is failing get all your friends to look in a mirror.
Finally, to those reading it who may think they are the change in society. Tim Pool made a wonderful bit of music.
You see that statue that keeps spinning? Just the same old things given a new coat of paint. So what happens when the wheel turns against you, because it will eventually. Time after all is undefeated.
You know how last week I said I was not going to get political? Ya, I am going to be somewhat here here and not against Roe V Wade but on something on a much smaller level that is infinitely infuriating. Roe V Wade has been something of a painful remainder that sometimes people will see whatever they want to see hoped up on zealotry for their own side, and I would rather be drunk then deal with that again.
So I found out something. We have an independent party in Oregon. Sounds weird right, like jumbo shrimp or easy loans, it is a set of word that could be something and makes about as much sense as a cup holder on the roof of your car. Why is this of all things something that makes me want to take the speed run from helpful citizen to classic super villain? In most other political conversation Independent often mean unaffiliated of either the two major parties or of parties on the whole depending on the particular conversation. Well, Oregon’s independent party, is a major party and that means it gets billing with Republicans and Democrats. They claim 136,000 members are part of their party and I am throwing the bullshit flag here because I polled everyone I could within my voice, so most of the zip code. Very few understood it was a party and especially a major party, most people thought, like me, it was unaffiliated.
When one is part of a party they first need to go through a voting in party for each position, and since I did not understand we had the oxymoron tribe claim a spot I did not check if I needed to join. The other part that makes me want to spit is that the majority of the party caucus either votes behind a cross nominated Democrat or Republican. It has already been challenged and despite only half of the people could understand from the parties own research that yes it was a party the judge agreed. Caucus is already done and decisions are made because a rather gutless bit of wordplay and that is exactly the kind of person you get with a career politician.
I learned, changed to unaffiliated and hopefully will be in position by next year to try for something. Losses will happen and sometimes it is more of a learning experience then it is a serious attempt to run for a position, but now I want everyone to do it. Knock them all out, if people look at that sort of thing and with everything else going on see that people are able to make a living on such things then you have the right to take it from them and make yourself better then they ever could. You, the person can get into politics if you do not know how, hell it may be something I write about from this point because that sort of me just does not sit well with me.
If I can fail then let me fail on my effort that sort of thing seems like a gotcha trap if you expect things to make any sort of sense but that is okay. We learn, and out there is the future leaders that the current leaders are afraid of because of the greatness that can be ushered in unaffiliated, Independent, Democrat or Republican. These times will test people and they will continue but money cant be taken into the grave and everyone meets with the reaper eventually. Do not kill or maim, do not commit crime to hurry those affairs, but find yourself ready because in the hard times like the ones that some of us are already having, the ones coming for more of us, those where legends are forged.
I have felt utterly defeated not only because people in this city seem to have a problem with listening. I am utterly disgusted by the city, in efforts to try and stop whatever they are trying to do with the pandemic businesses are closing down in masses, homeless camp cover the parks where they dotted them before and watching Hardesty and Wheeler speak on things of importance is like wanting to bond my soul to a bottle of bleach and the only reason the others on the city board aren’t here is they have done absolutely nothing of major importance.
Not one positive thing has come out of this collection of intellectual failures roaming around as a city council. Instead, more people are dying, less people protect them, more businesses are shuttering, and less money can be made. While some of the dumbest people are clucking about signaling they have the brightest virtues. Failing in methods makes me wonder if they are either full of malice or idiots so low on an intellectual scale that they should be removed from office.
Hardesty is emotional, but she is a fool. Her intense reliance on everything being racism with no evidence and no moral fiber is easy enough to understand. She is hunting boogeymen that are simply not there, even by the cities and her own numbers.
Wheeler. Ted Wheeler has to be one of the dumbest people to take the office of mayor. May I remind you that this was the same person who actively worked Antifa and allied groups against the proud boys. Hate them or love them, I don’t care but the proud boys are not worse then Antifa and their ilk. Which made the start of banning one and permitting the other a shocking turn. Something I even said “ would rebound badly if this civil unrest is not put under control” I was right. Some people say I wasn’t because that it hurts their feelings.
Fuck you I was right, and I hate that I was. I hate I cannot stand that me, a person with no formal political training called almost verbatim, I said 5-10 years and I sunk it closer to 10. Portland’s east side is beginning to mirror that of Chicago, and the nickname from those who live there is based off a conflict we had for years. So Chiraq being what it is, I would like the right to nickname, as I have been right more then any other person on the subject of the city, to be Portlandistan.
Also, those on Twitter claim that nothing is wrong by the city’s own numbers things are factually incorrect. Living in the whitest, hipster infested, morally bankrupt sections of the city does not meanmuch when you do not know any better. You do not count for east, northwest or even the southwest where camps have sprouted in the woods near highways. You. Are.Wrong.
What is a big problem is the following. Say you don’t like something doing their job, so someone else needs to do it or the duties need to be transferred over. You cannot just go and try to destroy the old jobholder without planning to move the duties to something else that can properly handle it. No matter what it is from the cops, the city council, or even the mental health system, one can’t just burn it down without putting in something else. If it isn’t ready, the damage trying to install a new system from scratch will pale what the system previous did.
Another thing will be coming out today on this blog about another project. So if you want to stay and keep reading, then that’s great. If you do not I understand but for my own mental health if I don’t do other things, I will need a bottle of rum and a padded room.
